2026-04-30
Right after its release, NTE, or Neverness to Everness, has quickly gained popularity as the most hyped-game in the second quarter of 2026. Introducing a lot of interesting characters, players can basically experiment with them in the way they like. For this reason, it’s highly recommended to do a Neverness to Everness topup, because you’ll definitely need some resources.
Among the many characters available in-game, there are two additional ones that will be released later this month and early next month, which are Nanally and Hotori. Since these characters have close release dates, players have been speculating and discussing which one of them is actually better than the other. So in this guide, we walk you through the NTE gacha system, banner schedule, and both character overviews.
NTE Gacha System Explained
There are probably too many games that have a gacha system now, but there’s something different with NTE. Instead of just displaying a screen with results, the game utilizes a very fun way players can engage with, which is through a board-game style minigame called Scarborough Fair. This is the place where players can reap some rewards, like new characters, in-game currencies, and items.
About guaranteed rewards, below are some details about them:
- An S-class reward is guaranteed after 90 pulls or rolls
- A-class character is guaranteed after 10 rolls
- If you get no S-class character within 70 rolls, the reward is guaranteed to be higher
- Pity is carried over through all available banners. There is no phase reset during season updates
- There’s no 50/50 mechanic for S-class on Limited Boards
- For Standard Board, there are always six S-class characters. There’s a 20% discount for the first five 10 rolls, and there’s an option to receive your chosen S-class character after 50 rolls. This feature is only available for one time only.
Neverness to Everness 1.0 Banner Schedule
The new NTE banner is released starting on April 29. There will be 2 Banner Phases for the 1.0 NTE Banner that carry Nanally and Hotori. Since these are the most anticipated characters to come to NTE, it’s always wise to prepare some in-game currencies to roll some. For this, BuffBuff can help you with that.
Don’t forget to mark these dates, because NTE will give other generous rewards, For example, there will be launch celebration bonuses that award players with additional rolls. This way, you can easily get Nanally’s gear, including clothing, glider skin, and car livery. If you don’t use the roll option now, it will be sent back to the Fair Exchange Shop.

So, Which One is Better to Pull?
Seeing how these banners are so close to each other, which character is actually worth the price? When we talk about damage dealers, Nanally may win because of her AoE abilities, which may easily control the enemies at a wide range. Additionally, she has a high F2P viability that caters a lot of players.
On the other hand, Hotori is still a great pick, especially because of her time-stop activities. She can deal some damage as well, although not that high.
Nanally Overview (April 29 – May 13)
Nanally is an Anima who works best as a Control DPS. She’s obtainable from the Phase 1 NTE Banner that’s available starting from April 29. To deal some damage, she uses the power of electromagnetic, When using the Redirect Skill, she will be in an Itch-daime's Authority state, which makes her able to walk on sloped surfaces way more easily. Surprisingly, it also works on ceilings.
Strengths:
- Since she’s a Control DPS, Nanally is much better for her offensive role to clear enemies from the field
- Redirect Skill can be useful to walk on kinds of terrains, including hard ones
- Lore-wise, there’s no reason to skip Nanally because we will see her story firsthand during this banner event
Although Nanally is already loved by many, that doesn’t mean she’s perfect. Below are some considerations you need to know about her:
Downsides:
- Nanally is not suitable for players who want to see 1-shot kill
- Her damage isn’t that high, when compared to other characters
If you’re interested in getting her, you’ll need to prepare some Solid Dice to be used on the limited board. To get these Solid Dice items, you can also make some top up at trusted parties. Following her stories, we feel that she can be stronger with her Anima.
Hotori Overview (May 13 – June 3)
The next NTE character that’s also not less popular. Hotori is obtainable from the Phase 2 NTE 1.0 banner from May 13 to Jun 3. She’s Burst DPS who mainly uses Cosmos damage. To deal some damage, Hotori manipulates the time around her to deliver burst DPS. When her skill is activated, Hotori is very versatile. She can freeze time, even during the open-world.
Strengths:
- Hotori can be a top pick for players who demand characters with high-skill and timely-based attacks
- Her time-freezing abilities also useful for both battle and exploration
- Deadly when battle enemy 1v1
Downsides:
- If you’re looking for a character that can deal AoE damage, she’s not that recommended.
- Only work best if the team composition have some supports
- It may take longer to defeat bosses because she will only spam AOE damage that has lower damage
Conclusion
NTE 1.0 banner marks a special place for NTE to be one of the most beloved games in recent times. Choosing which character to pull may offer unique challenges you need to solve. If you want to deal and spam AoE damage, pull Nanally from her banner.
