Iroi is the limited S-rank Anima hybrid support in NTE 1.2 and the game's first limited dedicated healer. Her main role is to offer team-wide sustain and functional crowd control, along with higher damage buffs.
The distinguishing aspect of NTE Iroi is how her healing doubles as a damage amplifier. Her passive Sympathetic Nerves grants the team DEF Ignore whenever she heals an ally, and her Redirect Skill Future Self Continuity builds Imagination while handing all allies a Bonus ATK buff.
Her Imagination resource (Iroi's special energy) is the key to everything, and her Ultimate opens the Dream of the Horned Gate for quick team healing. Iroi Skills and Kit
Neverness to Everness Iroi's entire kit has two core focus points, i.e., build Imagination and spend it at the right moment. Every skill she has either charges that resource or turns her healing into an active damage buff for the team.
Basic Attack
Collaboration
A five-hit lamb combo dealing Anima DMG. Each hit passively builds Imagination, which keeps her resource charged during standard attack chains.
Daydream
Hold Basic Attack to charge and release up to three Anima DMG hits. It consumes Imagination based on hold duration. Can also trigger during Reflexive Response, Bang!, Future Self Continuity, and her Ultimate without eating into the standard usage limit.
Lucid Dream
After landing Daydream, hold Basic Attack again to summon Morpheus, which pours out a continuous stream of Anima DMG while consuming Imagination. A clean follow-up that extends her personal damage window.
Wakey-Wakey
Press Basic Attack mid-air to plunge into the ground for a single AoE Anima DMG hit on impact. Scales with fall height up to a 100% bonus, and every successful landing builds Imagination.
Critical Riposte: Reflexive Response
Land a Critical Dodge and immediately follow with Collaboration to trigger a counter-strike using Phantasos. It causes one hit of Anima DMG that chips away at the target's Break gauge and adds to her Imagination buildup.
Redirect Skill
Self-Identity Extension
Tap Redirect Skill to heal the whole team once and apply an ATK Bonus to all allies based on Iroi's own ATK. Active lambs break off to attack independently and pull nearby targets in. Each ally in Regression also contributes bonus damage scaled from Iroi's Base ATK. Using this skill builds Imagination on top of everything else.
Future Self Continuity
Hold the Redirect Skill to cast a wave of dreamlike illusions across the field. It pulls up to 3 allies into Regression where their lamb stand-ins take over combat duties. Regression lifts automatically once the fight is over.
What is Regression?
When any ally drops to zero HP (instead of falling), they automatically enter Regression and get replaced by one of Iroi's lambs. While in Regression, they can't be swapped in or use skills, but they stay in the fight through their lamb stand-in until Iroi's Ultimate brings them back. It's the most forgiving survival mechanic any sustain unit in NTE offers today.
Ultimate: 3.8-Billion-Year Mirage
The payoff is split into two modes depending on how much Imagination has been built:
- Dream of the Horned Gate (below threshold): Opens a continuous team-wide healing zone. Direct sustain with no extras.
- Dream of the Ivory Gate (above threshold): Upgrades into a sustained damage-and-healing zone that deals Anima DMG to enemies inside while simultaneously healing all allies. During this state, you can tap any Regression character's portrait to temporarily revive them for the dream's duration. Up to one revival per dream. The zone drains Imagination continuously until it runs out, at which point the dream ends. Daydream and Lucid Dream don't consume Imagination while the dream is active
Passive
Mirror Image
When an active Vita Bud expires, Iroi automatically spawns a copy to replace it, which keeps the Blossom effect running without manual input. The copy doesn't generate another replacement when it expires, so it's a one-time extension per original Bud.
Sympathetic Nerves
Every heal Iroi delivers opens a brief DEF Ignore window for the entire team, which turns routine sustain into a passive damage amplifier that benefits everyone on the field simultaneously.
Iroi Skill Priority
Redirect Skill (Future Self Continuity) > Ultimate > Basic Attack (Collaboration) > Support Skill (Bang!)
Future Self Continuity is the first upgrade target in Iroi build NTE, as it drives healing, Imagination generation, and ATK buffing all at once. This makes it the foundation of her entire support loop. The Ultimate follows next because the Horned and Ivory Gate branches deliver critical utility regardless of content type. Collaboration and Bang! contribute to her kit but see limited return on direct investment, so level them last when resources allow.

The Wrong Gate is Iroi's best Arc. Its high raw ATK scales her Future Self Continuity ATK Bonus and the Transparent Awakening node, so every heal directly benefits teammates. The team-wide DMG buff triggering on each heal stays permanently active given how frequently she heals.

- Keep Imagination Building: Weave Collaboration and tapped Redirect Skill between rotations to steadily charge Imagination toward the Ultimate threshold.
- Use Bang! on swap-in: Her Support Skill heals the team, deals Anima DMG, and builds Imagination simultaneously. Use it first whenever teammates need immediate sustain.
- Pick the Right Ultimate Branch: Below threshold, Horned Gate handles continuous healing. At threshold, Ivory Gate adds AoE damage and opens the Regression revival window.
