At first glance, Rayan (90 OVR) and Kobbie Mainoo (89 OVR) look like the cards everyone should chase. But after checking the stats, prices, and the Live Upgrade rules, the real value in Team 2 is hidden at the bottom of the rating list.

FC 27 Future Stars Team 2: Best Cards to Target

Team 2 has 15 cards, but you don't need to sort through all of them. If you want the short version: Rayan and Mainoo are luxury buys for immediate impact, while Thompson is the smart budget pick. Here are the cards that actually stand out.

Rayan (90 OVR)

• Stats: 91 PAC / 87 SHO / 84 PAS / 90 DRI.
• Verdict: He is incredibly fast and agile. But at 1.69M Coins, you are paying purely for immediate performance. He won't upgrade in February.

Kobbie Mainoo (89 OVR)

• Stats: 90 DRI / 88 DEF / 85 PHY.
• Verdict: A fantastic all-around midfielder. At 2.56M, he is the most expensive card in the squad. Unless you have unlimited Coins, it's hard to justify this price for a card that can't grow.

Gisele Thompson (87 OVR)

• Stats: 90 PAC / 86 DRI / 85 DEF.
• Verdict: At 71K, she is a very solid budget right-back. She made history alongside her sister Alyssa as the first sisters to both appear in Future Stars, which makes her a fun card to use.

Marc Pubill (89 OVR)

• Stats: 83 PAC / 89 DEF / 87 PHY.
• Verdict: A very strong, physical center-back at 1.12M Coins. Again, he is a luxury purchase for immediate use.

Now that you know the headline cards, here is the full breakdown. The squad has a mix of instant starters and long-term investments. Below is the complete list of all 15 players with their current market prices and a quick profile for each.

All prices below were checked on October 19, 2026, based on PlayStation/Xbox market rates. The Transfer Market fluctuates daily, so check the in-game market or FUTBIN for the latest live prices before buying.

Rayan (90 OVR RM)

• Profile: 91 PAC / 90 DRI. Extreme pace combined with elite dribbling.
• Verdict: The most explosive attacker in this squad. At 1.69M Coins, it's a huge price, but if you need an immediate upgrade on the right wing, he delivers.

Kobbie Mainoo (89 OVR CDM)

• Profile: 90 DRI / 88 DEF / 85 PHY. A highly complete modern midfielder.
• Verdict: The most expensive card in the squad at 2.56M. His on-the-ball feel is incredibly smooth and he is solid defensively, but it's a massive price tag for a CDM.

Marc Pubill (89 OVR CB)

• Profile: 89 DEF / 87 PHY / 83 PAC. A top-tier physical center-back template.
• Verdict: A heavy CB with decent recovery pace. At 1.12M, he is among the elite defenders currently available and ready to slot straight into your starting XI.

Paris Brunner (88 OVR ST)

• Profile: 86 PAC / 88 SHO / 86 DRI. A very well-rounded young striker.
• Verdict: Just over 300K is a very attractive price. With solid pace and shooting, he's one of the best value immediate upgrades at the striker position in this promo.

Franco Mastantuono (88 OVR RM)

• Profile: 88 PAC / 87 PAS / 90 DRI. A highly technical Argentine winger.
• Verdict: At 300K, he offers elite dribbling and passing. He's perfect for players who prefer cutting inside and playing tight passing combinations.

Nathaniel Brown (87 OVR LB)

• Profile: 92 PAC / 87 DRI. An extremely fast attacking left-back.
• Verdict: For just over 30K Coins, his pace is phenomenal. His recovery speed is excellent, making him one of the best budget left-backs in the game right now.

Gisele Thompson (87 OVR RB)

• Profile: 90 PAC / 86 DRI / 85 DEF. A well-balanced right-back.
• Verdict: At around 71K, she offers great pace and defense. Combined with the historic storyline of playing alongside her sister, she is a fun and reliable card to use.

Kerim Alajbegović (86 OVR LW)

• Verdict: Priced around 43K, his dribbling feels great. He's a perfect impact sub or a core piece for a budget squad.

Nicolò Tresoldi (86 OVR ST)

• Verdict: At under 20K Coins, he is a fantastic budget defender. The main appeal is his potential for a +2 OVR upgrade.

Jorrel Hato (85 OVR LB)

• Profile: 86 PAC / 83 DEF. A very fast defensive full-back.
• Verdict: At 237K, he is a bit expensive. But if you are building an Eredivisie or specific chemistry squad, his speed and body type are top-tier.

Peio Canales (85 OVR CAM)

• Profile: 84 PAS / 85 PHY. A physically strong playmaker.
• Verdict: For under 20K Coins, his passing is excellent. He is a perfect budget midfield brain for a lower-budget squad.

Merveille Kanjinga (85 OVR ST)

• Profile: 92 PAC / 87 SHO. A low-rated but high-performing speedster.
• Verdict: An absolute gem for 38K Coins. She has incredible pace and reliable shooting. Most importantly, as an 85 OVR card, she has massive room for an OVR upgrade.

FC 27 Future Stars Team 2: The 87 OVR Ceiling

As covered in our Team 1 article, Live Upgrades have a hard 87 OVR ceiling. Players rated 87 or above cannot receive OVR boosts from real-world performances in February.

This means the most expensive cards in Team 2 are actually the worst investments for the February upgrade:

• Rayan (90), Mainoo (89), Pubill (89), Brunner (88), Mastantuono (88), Brown (87), and Thompson (87) are all at or above 87 OVR. They cannot receive any OVR upgrades. You are paying for their current stats, not their future potential.
• The real "investment" cards are the 85 OVR players: Jeltsch, Canales, Kanjinga, Hato, and Dro Fernández. If they hit their real-world appearance milestones, they have room to grow from 85 → 86 → 87.

At 38K Coins, Kanjinga is the standout budget pick. She already has 92 PAC and 87 SHO, and if she gets that +2 OVR upgrade in February, her card will be an absolute monster for the price.

Conclusion

Team 2 is a trap if you are looking for long-term investments. The highest-rated cards (Rayan, Mainoo, Pubill) cost millions and cannot get OVR upgrades.

If you want the best value, ignore the top of the table. Pick up Kanjinga (38K) or Jeltsch (18K). They are cheap, they play well now, and they have the potential to get a +2 OVR boost in February.
