Promeia is not a traditional Ice DPS. HoYoverse introduced her as an S-Rank Ice Anomaly Agent, and most of her real damage comes from building Anomaly efficiently and converting that setup into powerful Ablooms rather than chasing CRIT.

How Promeia's Abloom Mechanic Works

Understanding Promeia Abloom is more important than memorising a gear list.

Promeia plays as an on-field Anomaly DPS who builds a resource called Corrosive Chill. She can hold up to 100 Corrosive Chill. Whenever she reaches 50 while Trial by Cold is not full, 50 points are notesautomatically converted into 1 Trial by Cold, and she can store up to two Trial by Cold points.

Those points power EX Special Attack: Execution - Merciless Judgement, one of the core pieces of her damage loop. When used correctly against enemies already under an Attribute Anomaly, Promeia can trigger Abloom for a large burst of fixed Anomaly damage.

HoYoverse's official Promeia Agent Mechanics introduction also presents her as a mechanically specialised Anomaly Agent rather than a conventional CRIT carry.

Promeia Frostbite Value, Corrosive Chill and Trial by Cold

You may see Promeia Frostbite Value used in older or translated guides when discussing her 100-point resource system. For the practical live build, the important relationship is simple:

Build Corrosive Chill → convert 50 into Trial by Cold → spend Trial by Cold on Abloom attacks.

Promeia starts combat with two Trial by Cold points, so her opening can be surprisingly explosive. After those initial points are spent, the team needs to keep feeding her resource loop efficiently.

Other squad members triggering Abloom are particularly valuable because they provide 15 Corrosive Chill, while Freeze, Disorder and Vortex can also contribute smaller amounts.

Notes From the Chained is the Promeia best Drive Disc set.

Its 2-Piece effect grants 10% Ice DMG. After Promeia triggers Abloom, the 4-Piece effect grants 48 Anomaly Proficiency for 30 seconds, while triggering Freeze adds 16% Attribute Anomaly and Disorder DMG for 30 seconds.

Those conditions line up almost perfectly with Promeia's normal gameplay.

The set does create one small optimisation issue: in Stun-based teams, you may sometimes want to save Trial by Cold for the Stun window instead of immediately spending a point just to activate the set bonus.

Phaethon's Melody

For the 2-Piece, we recommend Phaethon's Melody because its 8% Anomaly Mastery feeds both faster buildup and Promeia's AM-to-AP Core Passive.

However, the gap between good 2-Piece options is small. If your Freedom Blues or ATK set has substantially stronger substats, use the better pieces rather than forcing a weak Phaethon's pair.

Promeia Skill Priority

The Core Skill is by far the most important investment because it strengthens the mechanics behind Promeia's Abloom damage and increases her Anomaly Mastery at key Core nodes.

Basic Attack and EX Special come next because they are heavily involved in her actual field rotation.

You do not need to rush every standard skill to maximum before finishing the Core.

Which Promeia Team Should You Use?

Promeia + Remielle Dan + Velina is our preferred premium setup when you have all three characters. Remielle adds Anomaly-focused damage and utility, while Velina helps generate Anomaly and Daze pressure. Together, they give Promeia plenty of opportunities to build resources and convert them into powerful Abloom windows. Current team data also places this trio among her strongest modern compositions.

Promeia + Nangong Yu + Yuzuha is the better choice if you prefer a structured Stun playstyle. Nangong creates reliable burst windows while Yuzuha strengthens the team's Anomaly output. From our testing, the key is entering each Stun with one or two Trial by Cold points ready instead of spending everything beforehand.

For continuous Anomaly pressure, Promeia + Vivian + Yuzuha is our preferred Disorder/Abloom setup. Vivian's repeated Anomaly and Abloom activity helps replenish Promeia's resources, letting the team maintain pressure without depending on frequent Stuns.

If you lack newer limited teammates, Promeia + Lycaon + Soukaku remains a practical accessible option. Lycaon supplies fast Stuns and Ice support, while Soukaku adds easy offensive buffs. It has a lower ceiling than Promeia's premium Anomaly teams, but it is simple to build and effective for developing accounts.

Promeia Rotation

Promeia's exact combo changes with the team and enemy, but the game plan stays consistent.

1. Use an EX Special early to activate her Additional Ability effects and apply Presumption of Guilt.
2. Build Corrosive Chill through attacks, Anomalies and teammate interactions.
3. Convert 50 Corrosive Chill into Trial by Cold.
4. Enter your main burst window with Trial by Cold available.
5. Use the EX/Special sequence to reach the move that enables Merciless Judgement.
6. Spend Trial by Cold to trigger Abloom.
7. Use Basic 5 or the enhanced Special transition to loop back into another Abloom when resources allow.
8. In Stun teams, prioritise arriving at Stun with resources rather than spending every point immediately.

Promeia's Ultimate and Chain Attack can also trigger Abloom, though Merciless Judgement remains central to her dedicated burst loop.

Is Promeia M1 Worth It?

Yes.

M1 is particularly useful because it addresses one of Promeia's biggest practical problems: having enough Trial by Cold for every important window. It also improves the DEF Ignore tied to her Abloom support.

From an account-value perspective, we would seriously consider M1 before signature W-Engine if you already own a strong Fusion Compiler.

Community comparisons have reached the same conclusion in many Fusion Compiler accounts, although players relying only on a low-Phase Gemini may still prefer Frostfall Sickle first.

The build should remain the focus, but these are the main Promeia materials worth planning for.
