Hsin, the Sentinels, is a five-star Electro Resonator who is expected to release during the first half of Version 3.7. Version 3.7 Preview Special Broadcast revealed that her banner would launch on September 30. Based on the new data and systems, Hsin is going to be mainly a Resonance Skill damage dealer and can be built in two different directions: Unison or Electro Flare main DPS. However, one thing is certain: Hsin will still be a capable third-generation main carry despite her less impressive base stats.

Hsin Kit and Mechanics Breakdown
In the official demonstration video, we can see that Hsin runs two complete movesets, each with its own resource bar, and a Resonance Liberation sits at the end of both, meaning 3 resource bars in total. Her Liberation is named Nexus Alight, and it holds two separate casts, which means she is a highly technical user with two distinct playstyles.
In her answering form, Hsin builds her initial Answering Hear resource through Normal Attack: Manifold Bloom, a four-hit string at close range. At full gauge, her Heavy Attack becomes Answering Form: Realm Wanderer, a held cast dealing Resonance Skill damage. That cast grants her immunity to damage and interruption while it runs, and grants Resolution of Wishes once every 25 seconds, upgrading it into the harder-hitting Realm Protector.
After reaching the required amount, she can unlock Resonance Liberation and enter her enhanced Illumining Form. Her Intro Skill alone also grants 60 points. Formshift grants 21 stacks of Edict for 45 seconds. Each stack summons a Soaring Pillar as a coordinated attack whenever a teammate deals damage, capped at one per second. In the enhanced form, Hsin commands the Xuanfang mechanisms and builds a second resource gauge Illumining Heart. Once enough of this resource has been accumulated, she can enter Mechanism Dominion for 13 seconds, upgrading her Basic Attack and Dodge Counter into Pillars Aligned versions that consume gauge to enhance her attacks.
Her final Liberation, Pillars Across Heaven, will bring the Manifold Sanctum crashing down, dealing Electro DMG to the target, considered Resonance Skill DMG. Hsin then returns to Answering Form and exits the Heart Manifest state.
Hsin’s two Resonance Modes determine her role.In Unison Mode, Hsin supports characters that can trigger Unison Response. She provides Unison-related buffs and increases the team’s damage during frequent Intro and Outro Skill swaps. In Electro Flare Mode, Hsin focuses on applying and consuming Electro Flare effects. Her teammates help generate Electro Rage, which Hsin converts into additional resources for stronger Resonance Skill attacks. Hsin can also perform coordinated attacks while another character is active, giving her useful off-field damage.
Skill Priority
For most Hsin builds, the recommended skill priority is:
Forte Circuit > Resonance Liberation > Resonance Skill > Intro Skill > Basic Attack
Her Forte Circuit should be leveled first because her enhanced state and major damage sequence are closely tied to it.
Resonance Liberation comes next, followed by Resonance Skill. Intro Skill is normally a lower priority, but it becomes more important in a swap-heavy Unison team.
Basic Attack is still useful because Hsin weaves Basic Attacks into her damage rotation, but it should generally be leveled after her main damage abilities.
Best Weapons
Blooming Jadehaven
Hsin’s signature weapon, Blooming Jadehaven, is her best-in-slot option.
It provides 588 base ATK and 24.3% CRIT Rate according to the Beta data. It grants an All-Attribute DMG Bonus, increases Resonance Skill DMG after Hsin triggers Electro Flare or Unison Response, and allows part of her Resonance Skill damage to ignore the enemy’s Electro RES. It also increases the Electro Flare damage taken by nearby enemies while Hsin is on the field.
Other Weapon Options
Stringmaster is one of Hsin’s most comfortable alternatives. It provides 36% CRIT Rate, Attribute DMG, and additional ATK after dealing Resonance Skill damage.
Cosmic Ripples works as a standard five-star fallback because of its high ATK and Energy Regeneration. However, Hsin cannot fully use its Basic Attack-focused passive.
For four-star weapons, Fusion Accretion is a practical free-to-play option.
Echoes and Stats
Echo Set
Hsin’s best Echo set is the five-piece Heart of Sworn Vigil set.
2-pc: 10% Electro DMG.
5-pc: After applying Electro Flare, gaining Unison, or triggering Unison Response. It grants additional CRIT Rate and Electro DMG for 30 seconds.
The important advantage is that both of Hsin’s main playstyles can activate this set. You do not need a completely different Echo build when switching between Unison and Electro Flare.
If you do not have the new set, Void Thunder is a reasonable damage alternative. Flash of Electric Reflection is more suitable for a support-oriented build.
Main Stats
The recommended 4-3-3-1-1 Echo setup is:
- 4-Cost: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG
- 3-Cost: Electro DMG or ATK%
- 3-Cost: Electro DMG or ATK%
- 1-Cost: ATK%
- 1-Cost: ATK%
Use a CRIT DMG 4-Cost Echo when your weapon already provides a large amount of CRIT Rate. Otherwise, use CRIT Rate to balance your ratio.
Substats
For substats, prioritize:
CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG > ATK% > Resonance Skill DMG > flat ATK
Energy Regeneration is also useful. Around 125% Energy Regeneration is a reasonable starting target, but do not sacrifice strong CRIT pieces just to reach an exact number.
A long-term goal of approximately 70% CRIT Rate and 200% CRIT DMG is recommended if possible.
Best Teams
Unison Team: Hsin + Suoming + Shorekeeper

The most natural Unison team is Hsin, Suoming, and Suisui.
Judging by the data, Suoming is essentially bound to Hsin. Hsin acts as the main DPS. Suoming is the main Unison partner and provides Electro-related buffs, Unison interactions, and additional Resonance Skill support.
Suisui provides healing and general team buffs. Chisa can replace her if necessary.
This team focuses on short damage windows and frequent swaps. Hsin can enter the field, activate her important abilities, switch to Suoming while Hsin continues dealing off-field damage, and then return to Hsin for the finishing sequence.
Electro Flare Team: Hsin + Electro Rover + Suisui

For Electro Flare gameplay, Hsin works well with Electro Rover and Buling.
Hsin is the main DPS. Electro Rover can repeatedly apply Electro Flare and help generate the resources Hsin needs for her stronger attacks.
Buling provides more Electro Flare application and another source of team support.
This team is more focused on building Electro Flare stacks and allowing Hsin to consume them during her enhanced Resonance Skill sequence.
Rotation
Both team rotation follows the same pattern. A simple Unison rotation can look like this:
First, use your sustain character to activate team buffs.
Switch to Suoming and build her Unison setup.
Trigger Suoming’s Outro Skill and bring Hsin in through her Intro Skill.
Use Hsin’s Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill to build her resources.
Enter Hsin’s enhanced state and activate her major abilities.
Switch back to Suoming while Hsin’s off-field attacks continue.
Complete Suoming’s short damage window, then return to Hsin through the Unison interaction.
Finish with Hsin’s enhanced attacks and Resonance Liberation.
The key is not to stay on either character for too long. The team is strongest when Hsin and Suoming exchange short damage windows.
The biggest mistake is treating Hsin as a character who must remain on the field from beginning to end. Her off-field attacks exist for a reason, so let the second damage dealer use part of the rotation.
Resonance Chain and Pull Priority
Hsin is already fully playable at S0.
For players who want to invest further, the recommended order is:
S0R1 → S2R1 → S3R1 → S6R1
S2 is considered the first major upgrade because it improves her empowered finishing attacks and smooths out her damage cycle.
S3 provides a stronger damage increase, especially for Electro Flare Hsin.
S6 is a whale-level investment and is not necessary for normal gameplay.
In many accounts, obtaining Hsin’s important teammates may provide more value than chasing early Resonance Chains.

To summarize, Hsin is the main DPS character featured in Wuthering Waves Version 3.7. As the Electro Flare mechanic has been buffed in this version, building a team around Hsin is a sound choice, however, this essentially means you’ll need to pull for Suoming, which may impact your already difficult team composition decisions. But it is clear that Kuro invested a great deal of care into Hsin’s design, particularly with the heavy animation and the dual forms for the weapons.
