FC 27 TOTW 5: Full Squad, Ratings & Best Players
2026-10-15
FC 27 Team of the Week 5 just dropped, and it looks better than last week‘s squad. Patri Guijarro and Alessia Russo lead the pack at 89 OVR. Elliot Anderson sits right at 85 OVR as the third top card in the squad, and Isco, Florian Thauvin, Ollie Watkins, Cristian Romero, and Lineth Beerensteyn all lock in that super solid 84-rated tier.
A few of these cards hit way different than the boring usual TOTW filler picks. Guijarro’s got that zero-fluff, no-bullshit midfield profile that you can slot straight into almost any team. Russo’s 89 Shooting jumped out at me immediately, and she‘s one of the first forwards I’d test. Beerensteyn is the one I keep coming back to — that 91 Pace is perfect if you love fast counters and runs in behind.
I‘ll walk through the full TOTW 5 lineup, break down the cards that feel worth your time, and point out a few things I always check before spending Coins on a new player. If you’re building your Ultimate Team around this week‘s promo, our FC 27 Ted Lasso Guide cover the other big campaigns worth checking.
FC 27 TOTW 5 Release Date
TOTW 5 went live on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 6 PM UK time. The new lineup replaced TOTW 4 in every eligible Ultimate Team Pack.
TOTW cards usually stay in packs for about a week. Once TOTW 5 leaves the pack pool, you can still buy tradeable copies on the Transfer Market. Prices swing hard right after a new squad drops, so I usually wait a day or two and check the market a few times before buying. You can check the official announcement here https://x.com/EASPORTSFC/status/2110415410369552719 for the full reveal.

Jordan Henderson is this week’s TOTW 5 Community Player. I‘ve seen a lot of people talking about him on TikTok and Reddit — he’s easily the most discussed pick in the new lineup. He’s the Community Player pick, which is why he sometimes appears separately from the main squad graphic.
FC 27 TOTW 5 Best Players
Patri Guijarro — 89 OVR
Guijarro is easily the most well-rounded midfield gem in this entire TOTW. Her stats check out at 84 Passing, 89 Dribbling, 85 Defending, and 89 Physicality. That exact stat line hits different in central midfield — you don’t just want someone who can hold onto the ball, you need them to win it back instantly, and she nails that perfectly.
I wouldn‘t judge her only by the 89 OVR. Her stat line feels built for teams that keep possession high up the pitch and press to win the ball back. That said, her 80 Pace is worth flagging if your midfielders have to cover a lot of ground every game.
Alessia Russo — 89 OVR
Russo is tied for the highest rating in the squad. Her card packs 89 Shooting, 87 Dribbling, and 86 Pace, making her one of the strongest attacking picks this week.
The 89 Shooting is the first thing I notice. Her Dribbling is also insanely good for any striker that can hold up play and weave through packed traffic right inside the box. If your squad is missing a finisher who can also carry the ball through pressure, Russo is 100% worth a deep dive.
But that big 89 OVR number doesn’t even scratch the surface of what she’s actually like in game. Pull up her PlayStyles, Roles, Weak Foot, chemistry links, and current market price before you lock her into your starting 11.
Elliot Anderson — 85 OVR
Anderson is the third-highest rated player in the squad. He has 85 Passing and 82 Defending, so he’s exactly the kind of CDM I‘d try first if I needed someone to distribute passes and help on defence.
That 70 Pace is the red flag. If you run a high-press setup and need your midfielders to sprint constantly, compare his speed against other cheap options before spending Coins.
Lineth Beerensteyn — 84 OVR
Beerensteyn is the card I’m most curious about if you build your attack around pace. She has 91 Pace and 87 Dribbling, two stats that fit fast transitions, straight runs at defenders, and space behind the backline.
She‘s a very different pick compared to the two 89-rated stars. Before buying, check her other attributes, PlayStyles, Weak Foot, and current price. Those details tell you more than the 84 OVR.
Isco — 84 OVR
Isco brings a more technical style than the pace-first attackers in this squad. He’s packing 86 Passing and 87 Dribbling, that silky technical profile is custom-made for teams that live off tight one-twos and slow, controlled tiki-taka possession.
But that 70 Pace and 61 Physicality? They’re massive red flags if you run a no-nonsense, kick-and-rush physical playstyle. Think about where your CAM usually gets the ball and how you create chances around the box. If you need someone to link play instead of sprinting past people, Isco is worth testing.
Florian Thauvin — 84 OVR
Thauvin has 86 Passing, 85 Dribbling, and 84 Shooting. He doesn’t feel like a winger who just sprints past people. He‘s better for quick one-twos, creating chances, and cutting inside to shoot from wide areas.
His 80 Pace is something I’d compare directly against every other winger you‘re considering. Whether he works for your team depends on how you use your wide players and whether you value passing and dribbling over pure speed.
FC 27 TOTW 5 Budget Picks
A low OVR doesn’t automatically make a card a steal. The real question here is does this card actually plug that exact missing spot in your squad, without burning a hole in your Coin wallet. Chérif, Ba Loua, and Dahl are worth comparing against other cheap options, but check their full stats and PlayStyles before spending Coins.
Sidiki Chérif — 80 OVR
Chérif is one of the first names I‘d pull up if I needed a cheap striker. Look at his Pace, Shooting, Dribbling, and PlayStyles, then compare them to other budget strikers. The 80 OVR alone doesn’t tell you if he‘ll play well in your system.
Adriel Ba Loua — 80 OVR
Ba Loua is another sleeper I’d add to my watchlist if you‘re hunting for a cheap wide attacker. His overall rating is literally just one tiny throwaway detail of what makes a card actually usable. Pull up his Pace, Dribbling, and PlayStyles, and make sure he slots perfectly into that exact wide spot you’ve been trying to fill.
Samuel Dahl — 80 OVR
Dahl gives you a solid new left-back option in this TOTW. When comparing him to other full-backs, don’t only look at Pace. Defending, Physicality, stamina, and the role you need him to play all matter more when deciding if he‘s worth buying.
These three are worth checking against your current squad, but I wouldn’t call any of them a guaranteed steal until I saw their actual price. One good stat can make a card exciting — what you pay for it still makes the difference.
FC 27 TOTW 5: How to Get Players
Open Eligible Packs
You can pull TOTW 5 items from any eligible Ultimate Team Pack while the squad is live in packs. Pack openings are random — you might pack one of these cards, but there‘s no guarantee you’ll get the exact player you want.
Use the Transfer Market
If you want one specific tradeable TOTW card, the Transfer Market is the most direct way. I always look at three or four listings before buying. Prices jump right after a new TOTW drops, so the first listing you see is almost never the best one.
SBCs, Objectives, and Player Picks could be extra ways to get these cards if EA drops that content this week. Check the in-game menus before counting on any of these free methods.
FC 27 TOTW 5: Is It Worth It?
There‘s no universal answer. It depends on what your squad is missing and how many Coins you’re willing to spend.
- For midfield: Guijarro brings the balanced profile; Anderson has strong Passing and Defending.
- For finishing: Russo‘s 89 Shooting makes her one of the main attacking cards.
- For blistering pace-focused attacks: Beerensteyn is the absolute breakout pick here, packing 91 Pace and 87 Dribbling that lets her blow past fullbacks like they’re standing still.
- For silky technical play: Isco and Thauvin are the perfect fits for squads that live off crisp one-touch passing and tight tiki-taka, where you value clean Passing and butter-smooth Dribbling way more than raw sprint speed.
Before you drop any Coins on them, you’d better pull up their full hidden attributes, PlayStyles, Roles, Weak Foot, Skill Moves, full chemistry links, and the rock-bottom latest BIN price on the Transfer Market.
A high OVR never automatically makes a card the perfect pick.
Conclusion
Guijarro and Russo are the two headline cards in FC 27 TOTW 5, both at 89 OVR. Anderson, Isco, Thauvin, Watkins, Romero, and Beerensteyn are all solid sleeper picks you can slot straight in, depending on that exact gap you’ve been trying to plug in your squad.
Before you dump any hard-earned Coins on them, pull up the non-negotiable stats that matter most for that specific role, and cross-check the live, up-to-the-minute BIN prices on the Transfer Market. The absolute best card for your team is almost never just the one with the biggest, flashy highest overall rating number slapped on the front.
