FC 27 Ratings 2026: Top 20 Men's Players & Biggest Changes

The FC 27 ratings are out. Mbappé and Haaland share the top spot at 91. But that is not the most interesting part. The real drama is in the middle of the list. Who got a massive boost? Who got quietly nerfed? And why did some big names disappear entirely?

I pulled the Top 20 from EA’s official database and compared them with FC 26.

Note: EA’s database mixes men’s and women’s players in one ranking. This guide only looks at the men’s Top 20 to help you build your Ultimate Team. Here is the full list, plus my take on the winners and losers.

FC 27 Ratings: The Men's Top 20 List

Here is the men's Top 20, sorted by OVR. I included their card images and how their ratings changed compared to FC 26.

It's actually wild to see Messi still holding an 89 rating at 39 years old. EA clearly values his legacy, and with 90 DRI, he will still be a cheat code if you know how to use him. At the very top, Mbappé and Haaland (both 91) are the absolute best, but let's be real—they will cost you millions of coins, and most of us can't afford them right now.

If you are looking for actual value, skip the top three and look at the mid-table. Vitinha (90 OVR) is going to be an insane playmaker with 91 DRI and 88 PAS; he will feel incredibly smooth in-game. On the defensive side, Willian Pacho is my personal favorite pick here. His huge +3 jump to 89 OVR (with 90 DEF) makes him an absolute monster for a fraction of the price. Also, seeing Courtois as the only GK in the Top 20 just proves how rare elite goalkeepers are this year. If you pull him, keep him.

FC 27 Ratings: The Biggest Winners

A few players got huge upgrades this year. I think EA got these calls mostly right.

Michael Olise (86 → 90, +4)

This is the biggest jump in the Top 20. Olise went from a good winger to a 90 starter after his Bayern season. EA rewarded his consistency. His dribbling and crossing will feel crazy in-game. I would not be surprised if he becomes a meta pick early on.

Vitinha (86 → 90, +4)

Vitinha's jump is just as big. PSG dominated Europe, and he pushed into the elite midfield group. With 91 DRI and 88 PAS, he will be a nightmare to defend against in UT.

Lionel Messi (86 → 89, +3)

Messi is 39 and still getting upgrades. His World Cup run was enough for EA to push him to 89. Some people will say it is too generous. But honestly? If anyone deserves a "legacy boost," it is him.

Willian Pacho (86 → 89, +3)

I already wrote about Pacho in our FC 27 Best Centre-Backs guide. His DEF got a huge +4 boost to 90. He is not just a fast defender anymore. He is a complete monster now.

FC 27 Ratings: The Biggest Losers

Not everyone is happy. Some big names took a hit.

William Saliba (89 → 88, -1)

Saliba dropped a point. At 88 OVR with 90 DEF, he is still elite. But look at the list. He is 20th, while Gabriel and Pacho are above him. This shows how deep the CB position is right now.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (90 → 89, -1)

Kvaratskhelia lost a point. His dribbling is still insane (90 DRI). But he did not score as much as PSG's other attackers. EA probably wants to see more goals from him. He is still electric on the wing though.

Vini Jr. (90 → 89, -1)

Vini dropping to 89 is weird. He is still one of the best wingers in the world. But with Mbappé taking the spotlight at Real Madrid, EA might have adjusted his rating for a slightly less dominant season.

Harry Kane (90 → 90, no change)

Staying at 90 sounds fine. But when everyone around you gets a boost, staying still is a loss. Kane scored a million goals last season, but EA did not bump him. I think his 62 PAC is holding him back.

FC 27 Ratings: The Fallen Giants (Messi & Ronaldo)

The Top 20 does not show everything. Some massive names are missing from the list. And their new ratings are brutal.

Messi (Lionel Messi - 89 OVR)

Messi is at 89 OVR. Some people are mad he didn't get 90. But honestly? At 39, staying in the Top 20 is already a miracle. His World Cup run saved his rating. If you want to use him in UT, his dribbling is still top tier.

Ronaldo (Cristiano Ronaldo - 84 OVR, 67 PAC)

FC 27 Ronaldo is 84 OVR with 67 pace. He is 41, playing in the Saudi League. EA finally stopped giving him "legend" treatment. His shooting is still 88 and penalties are 93. But that pace means any fast defender will catch him. It is sad, but it is real. Time catches everyone.

Mohamed Salah (87 OVR)

Last year, Salah was tied with Mbappé at 91. This year, he is not even in the Top 27. He dropped to 87 and is listed as a Right Midfielder for Trabzonspor. That is a massive fall. I think EA is sending a message: one good season is not enough.

Kevin De Bruyne (85 OVR)

KDB is another veteran who took a hit. At 85, he is still an elite passer (91 PAS). But his pace is gone. In a fast UT meta, he might be too slow. You have to build the whole team around him to make him work.

Florian Wirtz (86 OVR)

Wirtz dropped to 86. After his big move to Liverpool, everyone expected him to be a superstar. But he had a slow start in the Premier League. EA lowered his rating. He is still a good playmaker, but he is not the 89-rated star people thought he would be.

FC 27 Ratings: What This Means for Ultimate Team

The Top 20 is full of expensive cards. Mbappé and Haaland will cost you millions. But you can still find some bargains.

Conclusion

The FC 27 ratings always cause arguments. Mbappé and Haaland at the top feels right. Olise and Vitinha getting 90 is deserved. But Salah falling out of the Top 27 and FC 27 Ronaldo dropping to 84 shows EA is not afraid to be harsh.

If you are building a team, use the Top 20 as a guide. But do not ignore the cheap players. Sometimes the best value is not at the top.
