Last War Update August: Major Changes to Bullseye, Ammo Bonanza & Future Events
2026-07-29

I’ve been following the latest event changes closely. This Last War August Update brings a major rework to Bullseye and Ammo Bonanza. It changes how players earn Mythic Blueprints and how much they may need to save or spend. I’ll break down the new structure and what it means for both free-to-play players and spenders. I’ll also look at what these changes could mean for future holiday events.

The New Bullseye Event Structure
The Bullseye event still has 100 levels. The main difference is how those levels are divided. There are now five rounds with 20 levels in each round. Finishing one round unlocks the next.
The reward system has also changed. Players can earn two Mythic Gear Blueprints after clearing 20 levels. This is much better than the old setup. Before, players had to reach level 100 to claim all ten Mythic Blueprints. Now they can earn the same rewards in smaller steps.
Most of the paid ammo packs are also being removed. The $10, $20, $50, and $100 options will no longer be available. Only the $5 daily deal will remain. For me, this is the biggest surprise in the Last War August Update. Reaching all five rounds may be difficult unless you already have plenty of ammo saved.

What’s new for Free-to-Play and Paying Players
Free-to-play players should have an easier time earning Mythic Blueprints. They no longer need to save enough ammo for all 100 levels. Clearing a single 20-level round is enough to earn two blueprints. That makes the event feel far more useful for players with limited resources.
Saving ammo is still important. One round can take roughly 120 to 140 bullets depending on your luck. I would avoid starting unless I had enough ammo to finish the full round. Stopping halfway will not give the main reward.
Paying players will need to change their approach too. Large last-minute purchases will no longer be an option. The $5 daily pack can help over time. It will not support a quick push through all five rounds. The Last War August Update rewards patience more than heavy spending. Players who plan ahead will get the most value from the new format.
How the Update Will Reshape Future Holiday Events
The Bullseye changes may be a preview of what is coming next. Holiday events often rely on luck. Players spin wheels or move around a board to earn rewards. If they fall short near the end, they may need to buy a large pack for only a few extra items. The Last War August Update suggests the developers want to move away from that problem.
Future holiday events could offer smaller reward stages and fewer expensive packs. We may also see more fixed-price shops or bargain-style events. These formats make costs easier to understand. They also give players more control over what they earn. If the Last War August Update becomes the new model, planning and steady progress could matter more than luck or last-minute spending.
Conclusion
The August changes make Bullseye more accessible but also reward careful planning. Smaller rounds give more players a real chance to earn Mythic Blueprints. The removal of larger ammo packs also means saving resources matters more than ever. It is still too early to know if future events will follow the same format. For now, I would save ammo and only start a round when I know I can finish it.
