Brawl Stars Season 56: The Three New Brawlers
Supercell usually gives us two Brawlers per update. But because the dev team is taking a Christmas break, they dropped three Brawlers to cover November and December.
1. Thunderfrogs (Legendary Artillery - November):
This is the game's first Legendary Artillery Brawler. It's actually three frogs (Zap, Zee, and Volt) that count as one Brawler.
You control them in different areas. Their landing spots form a triangle that creates an electric link, damaging everyone inside. It hits much harder at the edges.
Their Super merges them into a giant frog that jumps three times. With Hypercharge, the third jump triggers a massive electric chain between all previous jump locations. I think this will be a nightmare to play against on closed maps.
2. Rey & Ruby (December):
Two separate Brawlers, but they are a couple. If you pick them on the same team, their abilities synergize perfectly.
- Rey: His attack marks enemies the longer he aims. The mark increases his damage. His Super gives him a shield while aiming. His Hypercharge reveals enemies hiding in bushes or invisibility.
- Ruby: She throws a club and a diamond. If both hit, it deals extra damage. Her Super grounds enemies and summons swirling projectiles, making her a perfect counter to tanks.
Synergy & Free Giveaway: Their attacks heal each other, and they get a movement speed boost when walking toward one another. During Brawlidays in December, you can get Rey or Ruby for FREE. I highly recommend grabbing one because dual-synergy is going to be meta-defining.

Brawl Vice Season & Brawlidays Skins
The new season is officially called Brawl Vice, and it's a massive homage to the GTA series. The Brawl Pass features Brawl Vice Bull and Crime Pays Poco.
Brawlidays 2026: The Christmas event returns with Santa Squeak and Nutcracker Draco in the Brawl Pass. Other skins include Snowball Bolt, Gingerbread Starr Nova, Brawlidays Pam, and Delivery Elf Jessie.
Esports Skins: We are also getting Crazy Raccoon Max and HMBLE Leon to celebrate the world champions. Watch the World Finals to get the free World Finals Clancy skin.
New Game Modes & Chaos
Supercell is shaking up the rotation with a mix of brand-new chaotic modes and returning fan favorites. Whether you want a massive survival brawl or just want to smash a puck, there’s something here for you.
20-Player Showdown: A massive new map for 20 players. It features a mini-map, and robots that you can kill for power-ups. It feels way more chaotic than the standard Showdown.
Counter Light: A two-round mode. You plant lights on the enemy's side. Whoever lights up faster wins the match. It's a nice twist on objective-based gameplay.
Loaded Showdown: A chaotic mode with double speed, lifesteal, increased attack range, doubled health, and a UFO that lets you fly over walls. If you want pure fun, play this mode.
Super Hockey: The chaotic sports mode is back. It works like Brawl Ball, but with a wacky goalie blocking your shots.
Drum Roll: A returning favorite where your Brawler changes every time you take down an enemy. It forces you to be good with every character on the roster.
The Complete Ranked Overhaul
Let's be honest, Ranked mode has been frustrating for a while. Supercell finally listened to the community and rebuilt it from the ground up to actually reward skill.
New Pick & Ban Phase UI: The drafting screen got a massive visual and functional upgrade. You now have a search bar and specific category filters (Assassins, Support, Controllers) so you can lock in your main without scrolling forever. You can also swap picks with teammates, suggest bans, and even broadcast your intended role—like "Wall Breaker" or "Crowd Control"—to coordinate better.
Level 11 Requirement: To stop people from throwing with underleveled Brawlers, you can now only play Ranked with Power Level 11 Brawlers. Diamond and above require an even deeper roster of maxed Brawlers. To help newer players, the free maxed Brawler trials jumped from 3 to 6.
Elo and Matchmaking Adjustments: Masters and above no longer allow team queues (solo players only). The Elo system finally rewards dominance. A clean 2-0 win gives you more Elo (like +112), while a close 2-1 loss deducts less (like -75). You won't lose your mind over a bad teammate anymore.
Better Stats & Battle Cards: The loading screen now shows off your custom skins and lets you send Pins before the match starts. After the game, a new stats screen breaks down exactly what happened (damage, healing, damage taken per Brawler). Plus, new seasonal Battle Cards (featuring wolves, tigers, and dragons) evolve as you climb. If you hit the same rank in different seasons, the badges get crazy flaming effects.
Massive Balance Changes
Supercell is heavily buffing the Snowtell Gang and Candyland Trio in this patch.
- Mr. P: Service Bell now gives him and his porter a shield. His suitcases explode twice with Handle With Care. Main attacks heal his porters. I think this makes him a solid pick again.
- Lou: Ice Block cancels early for faster movement while keeping invulnerability. Super deals instant damage and freeze. He's going to be annoying to push into.
- Gale: North Wind Wall redirects enemy projectiles and speeds up ally projectiles. Very strong against throwers.
- Chester: Boxes can now fear, slow, or damage. Hypercharge doubles bell throws. I'm excited to test his new RNG damage.
World Finals 2026
