Currency Wars Update: New Characters & Elation Bond | HSR 4.2
2026-04-24

Hello, Trailblazers. The HSR Currency Wars meta in Honkai: Star Rail is getting a major overhaul in Version 4.2. This update introduces the brand‑new Elation Bond, alongside four powerful characters: Silver Wolf LV.999, Ashveil, Evanescia, and the Elation Trailblazer.
On top of that, the difficulty ceiling rises to A8 Wealth Creator 40, and the promotion level cap expands all the way to level 140.
Let's walk through everything you need to know about this massive update.
HSR Currency Wars New Bond: Elation
The highlight of the 4.2 HSR Currency Wars update is the Elation Bond. When you field three characters with the Elation trait, you can directly summon Aha as a combat ally.
Aha comes with his own stats and star rating. The more Elation characters you bring, the stronger Aha becomes. During battles, Aha acts based on his Speed stat, triggering what's called an "Aha Moment."
When you first activate the bond, Aha starts with three basic equipment pieces and gives you a few items. As you add 3, 4, or 5 Elation characters, more of Aha's equipment slots unlock. You can then synthesize your own gear with Aha's base equipment to further boost his stats.
During an Aha Moment, the equipment effects Aha carries also apply to all Elation‑bond characters on your team.
Unlike other bond Emblem synthesis methods, Elation Emblem require a Trash Bag+ any gem to craft.
Aha counts as both a front‑row and back‑row unit at the same time – because He really is that big.
Alongside the new bond, Version 4.2 adds 34 new Investment Environments and Investment Strategies. You can explore those at your own pace after the update.。
Expert Adviser System Expansion
In the 4.2 Currency Wars update, two more characters join the Expert Adviser roster, which already includes Tingyun, Qingque, and Gallagher.
The new advisers are:
- Silver Wolf
- Moze
