ZZZ Cissia Kit Breakdown

Cissia's gameplay is built around a unique resource mechanic called Venom. Her combat loop is centered on applying Venom Marks to enemies and then triggering high-burst Electric damage through Serpent's Venom Burst. Let's take a deep look at ZZZ Cissia kit:

Core Mechanic: Venom & Venom Marks

Cissia enters battle with 3 Venom stacks (increased to 6 with her Mindscape upgrade). Venom is consumed automatically over time, but can also be burned manually with her Charge Attack. Venom Marks are applied to enemies via most of her attacks and last an unusually long 60 seconds, which reduces the need to constantly reapply them.

Ways to gain Venom:

  • Landing her 4th Basic Attack hit
  • Attacking a Stunned enemy
  • Activating her EX Special Attack
  • Triggering specific Mindscape effects

Basic Attack

Standard: A four-hit forward sequence dealing Electric DMG. The 4th hit applies a Venom Mark (60s) and awards 1 Venom. Hitting a Stunned enemy on the 4th strike grants 1 additional Venom.

Charge Attack: Requires at least 1 Venom or 1 Serpentine Swiftness stack to activate. Cissia launches airborne and locks onto a target. Afterward, it crashes down, dealing AoE Electric DMG. While locked on, holding extends the duration, and the joystick controls the exact landing point. On activation, she consumes up to 6 Serpentine Swiftness stacks, where each stack raises the skill's DMG Multiplier. On landing, she applies Venom Mark (60s). If Cissia is on-field, immediately burns all remaining Venom to chain Serpent's Venom Burst procs.

Serpent's Venom Burst: Strikes all Venom Mark targets with Electric DMG. Each trigger grants Cissia +8% CRIT Rate for 15s and stacks up to 3 times (24% max) with a refreshable duration. Also awards 1 Serpentine Swiftness stack per trigger, capped at 9 stacks.

Dodge

Dodge: A standard invulnerable dash. No additional effects.

Dash Attack: A quick forward slash during a dodge, dealing Electric DMG.

Dodge Counter: Activated on a Perfect Dodge. Cissia leaps forward and lands a sweeping strike, dealing Electric DMG and applying Venom Mark (60s) to all enemies hit.

Special Attack

Standard: Cissia lunges forward with a long-range snake bite, dealing Electric DMG. Any enemy hit receives a Venom Mark lasting 60 seconds. Anti-interrupt is active during the animation.

EX Special: A multi-hit serpent strike barrage dealing Electric DMG. Holding the input spends extra Energy (up to 60 additional Energy in 20-cost increments), each increment adding more hits. After a held activation, Cissia gains 3 Venom base, plus 1 Venom per 20 Energy consumed while holding. Hits apply Venom Mark (60s), and the skill auto-chains into the 4th Basic Attack hit on completion.

Chain Attack

Chain Attack: Triggers a multi-hit forward barrage dealing massive Electric DMG. Awards 3 Venom on use and applies Venom Mark (60s) to all enemies hit.

Ultimate: A downward smash dealing massive Electric DMG to enemies ahead. Applies Venom Mark (60s) and grants 3 Venom on hit. Also activates Ether Veil: Serpent's Eye for 12 seconds, which increases the entire squad's CRIT DMG by 8%. Re-triggering the Ultimate cancels any existing Ether Veil instance.

Assist

Quick Assist: When the active character is launched, Cissia dashes in and delivers a Tail Swipe on landing. This deals Electric DMG and applies Venom Mark.

Defensive Assist: Parries an incoming attack before it lands, which deals significant Daze to the attacker.

Assist Follow-Up: Activated after a Defensive Assist and chains into a sequence of downward smash attacks dealing massive Electric DMG and inflicting Venom Mark on all targets hit.

Core Skill

Core Passive: Cissia enters combat with 3 Venom (once per 180s in the Investigation Zone). Every 5 seconds, 1 Venom is consumed to trigger Serpent's Venom Burst, dealing Electric DMG. While active, all squad members' Electric and Physical DMG against Venom Mark targets ignores 6% DEF, scaling up to 25% based on Energy Regen above 1.4. Buff persists 8s after Venom depletes. Burst DMG Multiplier increases by 330%, and with another Electric character on the team, Daze output rises by 50%.

Additional Ability: When the squad includes a Physical or same-Attribute teammate, Venom's active window grants +30% CRIT DMG to all squad members and an extra +20% CRIT DMG to Cissia personally. This persists for 8 seconds after Venom depletes.

Cissia Skill Priority

Follow this ZZZ Cissia skill priority:

SkillPriority
Core Skill★★★★★ (Top)
Basic Attack★★★★ (Top)
Chain Attack★★★★ (Top)
Special Attack★★★ (High)
Dodge★ (Low)
Assist★ (Low)

Core Skill delivers the highest return per upgrade and should always be maxed first. Follow up with Basic Attack and Chain Attack, as these form the backbone of her damage output. Special Attack comes next, useful but has a lower impact per level. Dodge and Assist sit at the bottom of the priority list. It causes minimal damage contribution, but is worth leveling eventually if running her as main DPS.

Seed Rerun: Should You Pull?

RarityS-Rank
ElementElectric
SpecialityAttack

Seed's rerun ZZZ 2.7 Phase 2 banner runs alongside Cissia. She is an S-Rank Electric DPS who synergizes well with Cissia. She receives her full DEF Shred and CRIT DMG buffs, and contributes to the Electric RES Ignore stacking in Mindscape-upgraded compositions.

Seed Rerun: Should You Pull?

Pull Seed if:

  • You don't own Seed and want to build the premium Cissia + Seed core
  • You are committed to an Electric-focused team long-term
  • You are interested in the Cissia / Seed / Trigger meta lineup

Skip Seed if:

  • You already own Seed
  • You are planning to use Cissia with Harumasa or Soldier 0 – Anby instead
  • Resources are better spent on Cissia's own copies (Mindscapes)

Should You Pull Cissia?

Cissia is an impactful character in version 2.7.

Pull Cissia if:

  • You lack a strong main DPS and need a reliable carry
  • You already have Seed or Soldier 0 – Anby and want to increase your Electric team
  • You enjoy high-burst and resource-management playstyles
  • You want a character with built-in team utility (DEF Shred, CRIT DMG buffs)

Consider waiting if:

  • You already have a well-built main DPS
  • You are saving for ZZZ 2.8's characters (Promeia and Starlight Billy are expected next)
  • You have no Electric synergies in your current roster

Conclusion

ZZZ 2.7 Phase 2 banner is a strong patch for the Electric team builders. ZZZ Cissia kit brings a fresh mechanic with her Venom look and enough flexibility to adapt to multiple team formats. Similarly, Seed rerun ZZZ is well-timed to act as Cissia's strong teammate. Therefore, prioritize Cissia if you need a reliable main DPS, and grab Seed if your Electric core is incomplete.

Make the entire pull experience seamless by topping up Zenless Zone Zero with BuffBuff, a fast and reliable way for Proxies who don't want to miss a single banner.
