The new season, launching with two new characters, exclusive abilities, reworked gameplay mechanics, and an array of angel and demon-themed skins, is set to bring intense competition and fresh excitement to the game.

What’s New in the Angels vs Demons Season?
In this season, players will join either the angel or demon faction. A new daily feature, Star Drop, lets players flip to determine their faction and earn exclusive rewards. With the Codex of Doom, players can unlock special angel or demon abilities, which are versatile and can be applied to all Brawlers. These additions make the gameplay more strategic, emphasizing teamwork and skillful combinations.
Exclusive Abilities with Codex of Doom
The Codex of Doom introduces abilities that add unique layers to battle, similar to Star Powers but more dynamic. Players can only activate one ability at a time, making the choice essential for tactical success. Some notable abilities include:
- Seraphim: Summons an angel ally to heal teammates when one is defeated.
- Rebirth: Provides invincibility and repels effects temporarily after surviving a lethal hit.
- Siphon: Heals teammates by siphoning energy when defeating an enemy.
- Conjuring Chaos: Summons imps to attack enemies, triggered upon enemy defeat.
Note that players can only use one ability at a time, so teamwork will be key to creating strategic combos in the latest game mode, Spirit Wars. In this mode, angels and demons compete by collecting amulets to summon spirits. The more amulets a player collects, the larger and stronger their spirit army becomes. Victory is achieved by destroying the opponent's turrets or dealing the most damage.
New Game Mode: Spirit Wars
The Spirit Wars mode brings a unique angel vs. demon challenge. Here, players collect amulets to summon spirits, forming an army to assist in battle. The more amulets you gather, the stronger your summoned spirits become. Victory is achieved by either dealing the most damage or destroying the opponent’s turrets. Strategic use of Codex of Doom abilities will be key in building a formidable spirit army.
Meet the New Brawlers: JUJU and Shande
Two powerful characters are making their debut this season:
- Juju (October 30, 2024)
A myth-class Brawler, Juju wields elemental attacks (grass, earth, water), each with unique effects. Her superpower summons Gris-Gris, a voodoo doll that tracks enemies and launches needles. Notably, Juju can walk on water, enhancing her mobility on maps.
- Shade (November 29, 2024)
An epic assassin Brawler with the ability to float on maps and water. Shade’s super skill lets him traverse walls, making him highly versatile in combat. His primary attack, a cone-shaped blast, can penetrate obstacles, adding depth to his tactical play.
These new Brawlers not only introduce unique abilities but also open up more tactical options for players, making the gameplay even more diverse and engaging.
Revamped Trophy System
- With the redesign of the seasonal trophy reserve system, your trophies will now be kept every season, but this will only happen after you reach 1000 trophies.
- In addition, depending on your performance in this season, you will receive a new trophy box. The box will contain a brand new Brawler skin that is not available through Bling.
- However, Frank's changes to the path of the trophy are described this way: "There is no change to the trophy path at the moment, but we will adjust it in the future."
Angel and Demon Themed Skins
- With the arrival of the new season, Brawl Stars will launch a series of angel and demon themed skins to bring players a richer personalized choice. Among them, we will welcome new outfits from Brawlers such as Mortis, Max and Emz, who will wear costumes representing darkness or light, adding more mystery to the battlefield.
- There will also be two new Hypercharge skins - Nightbringer Edgar and Lambent Mortis. Both skins will be available through Starr Drops, giving Brawlers a cool look and additional power boost. Nightbringer Edgar, with its diabolical form and powerful aura, and Lambent Mortis, with its angelic brilliance and divine power, give players more personalized expression in the heat of battle. Not only are these two skins unique in appearance, they will also give the Brawlers special Hypercharge abilities, making them even better in battle. Players can participate in in-game activities and collect Starr Drops to unlock these desirable skins and add new powers to their Brawlers.
