Why should you go for Hyacine in HSR version 3.3
Honkai: Star Rail Phase 1 banner introduces Hyacine, the much-anticipated 5-Star Wind Remembrance character in Version 3.3. She is a powerful team healing and sub-DPS potential through her adorable memosprite, Little Ica. If you’re looking for a fast, HP-scaling healer who also brings utility for HP-scaling DPS characters like Castorice and Blade, Hyacine is your go-to sustain unit this patch.
- Hybrid Healer and Sub-DPS: Hyacine offers team-wide healing based on her Max HP and bonus utility through Little Ica, a memosprite that attacks after Hyacine uses a skill or basic attack. These attacks scale with the healing she provides, allowing her to double as a sub-DPS without sacrificing her role as a support.
- After Rain State, the Max HP Boost for everyone: Her ultimate ability enters the After Rain state for 3 turns, increasing the max HP of all allies, a massive boost for both survivability and for HP-scaling DPS units like Castorice, Mydei, and Blade. This makes her a top-tier pick for HP-focused team comps.
- Debuff Cleansing and Frequent Turns: Hyacine can cleanse debuffs on both her skill and ultimate, which is especially valuable in content with heavy CC or DOT effects. She’s also built to be fast, ensuring she takes turns frequently to maximize healing uptime and keep Little Ica triggering consistently.
- Flexible Team Options: While Hyacine synergizes best with HP-scaling characters, she’s also a solid general-purpose healer. She’s a great alternative to Gallagher or Luocha if you prefer a more proactive healing style or want to reassign other sustain units to different teams. Her flexibility makes her useful across multiple content types, even outside of optimal HP-scaling squads.
Why should you go for The Herta in HSR version 3.3
The Herta makes her return as a 5-Star Ice Erudition unit in Phase 1 of Version 3.3. Known for her high AoE damage and synergy with fellow Erudition characters, Therta offers great team flexibility and continues to be a top pick for endgame content.
- AoE Ice Specialist: Therta excels at dealing wide-range Ice damage and synergizes especially well with Erudition-heavy lineups due to her Interpretation stack mechanic, enabling stronger ultimates and improved energy generation.
- Best in Erudition Duos: When teamed with another Erudition character like Serval or Little Herta, TH gains faster energy regen and improved team buffs. This makes her easy to build around for F2P and budget-friendly teams, while also thriving in premium setups with characters like Anaxa, Tribbie, or Jade.
- Light Cone Viability: Therta benefits greatly from her signature light cone, which boosts her skill point economy and overall damage output. If you want her to perform at her peak, consider picking it up.
- Scalable Damage: Her self-buffing mechanics and ability to stack “Interpretation” enhance her performance, allowing her to excel in sustainless or dual-DPS team setups.
Team Synergy: She works seamlessly with high-frequency attackers and energy-focused allies, maximizing her impact across various compositions.
Who should you pull for in HSR version 3.3 Phase 1
If you’re deciding between Hyacine and The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail version 3.3 Phase 1, your choice will depend on your team’s needs, specifically, whether you’re lacking a flexible sustain or need a powerful AoE DPS.
If you need a flexible healer or HP support, pull for Hyacine. She’s particularly valuable if you’re running or planning to run HP-scaling DPS units and want a sustain who also contributes damage. Her ability to buff team max HP and provide team-wide healing/cleansing makes her one of the most unique sustain units to date.
If you want a reliable AoE DPS for endgame formats like Pure Fiction, The Herta is still an excellent pick. Her energy efficiency, stack mechanic, and synergy with both F2P and premium characters make her a safe long-term investment, especially if you already own the necessary supports or are building a follow-up attack/Erudition team.
