Just before the release of the second patch of Amphoreus, a closed beta test for version 3.2 began, which coincides with the game's anniversary in Honkai: Star Rail. Thanks to early access to the CBT, early information about the combat parameters and skills of the recently announced new characters has been revealed. We’ll share gameplay videos of Castoria and Anax from patch 3.2, briefly break down the essence of their skills, and showcase their animations.
Castoria's Gameplay
Castoria (Memory: Quantum) is a Zlatius whose touch dooms anyone to death. In battles, she plays the roles of support, debuffer, and damage dealer, with some skills costing the health of all party members. Her unique ability allows her to revive each ally once per battle, and Castoria doesn’t even need to be in the team for this to work.
The heroine’s skill consumes a portion of the current health of her allies and attacks multiple enemies. In its enhanced form, it drains more HP, after which Castoria and her memory spirit perform a joint attack on the enemy. Her ultimate summons a dragon and reduces all elemental resistance of the opponents. For the health lost by her allies, Castoria accumulates points that increase her own damage and that of her memory spirit. If the dragon is on the field, it restores its HP using these points and can also absorb part of the incoming damage to allies if their health drops to 1. Her technique allows her to instantly summon the memory spirit at the start of battle, with the dragon dealing area damage and consuming health.
Anax's Gameplay
Anax (Erudition: Wind) is a scientist from the Grove of Muses with a peculiar personality. In battle, he combines the traits of a debuffer and damage dealer, excelling at applying various types of vulnerabilities to enemies. When there are 1 or 2 characters of the Erudition Path in the party, he increases his critical damage or the overall damage of all allies.
His skill strikes an enemy and several random targets, and thanks to his talent, Anax can use it repeatedly. His ultimate deals AoE damage to enemies and applies the Ascension state, which subjects them to all types of elemental vulnerabilities unless they have immunity to a specific element. Passively, each of Anax’s attacks applies a temporary random vulnerability to enemies, and if an enemy has at least 5 vulnerabilities, he deals increased damage to them. His technique frightens enemies and also applies a vulnerability.
