Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has entered patch 1.9.68 with the introduction of the revamped Kimmy and the Naruto collaboration. The patch brought many changes to the meta, including some powerful enough to disrupt the power balance in a lane. However, some weren't enough to change where heroes belong in the meta.

This list will not include heroes that would be almost certainly banned in ranked. Thus, we will omit six of the most-banned heroes in the game, according to the official website of Mobile Legends: Hanzo, Hayabusa, Kalea, Granger, Fanny, and Selena. However, if you can get ahold of them in your game, don't hesitate to pick them.

With those six out of the way, here are the best heroes to pick in Mobile Legends Bang Bang Patch 1.9.68's Solo Rank:

1. Gloo

Without a shadow of a doubt, Gloo is possibly one of the best heroes in the game right now after his revamp. The adjustment to change Split, Split into basic abilities while simultaneously making his ultimate more reliable, makes him one of the most dangerous frontline disruptors in the game. He can single-handedly control the frontline and destroy the enemy tanks if the rest of the team isn't careful with their attacks.

Gloo also has one of the best lane clear speeds in the game, thanks to his Slam, Slam, and the cooldown refresh he gets from the skill. He can also hold his own when fighting one-on-one because of his ultimate. While it needs to be primed, Grab, Grab can make Gloo untargetable by his host during the duration, making him basically unkillable. Furthermore, if he takes any damage while grabbing a hero, the damage will also be inflicted on the host.

2. Leomord

Leomord's Phantom Steed adjustment turned out to be one of the best buffs in Patch 1.9.68, changing him from a mediocre hero at best into one of the most dangerous in the game, and he can easily snowball if left unchecked. Leomord is almost unkillable when using Barbiel, and can outdamage assassin Junglers while maintaining his high health.

Because of his passive and momentum, he can also quickly clear jungle camps or lanes if needed. He can engage, deal damage, and finish a fight all by himself thanks to his skills, which will be refreshed if he enters Mounted State. Thus, he practically has five skills that can be cast in quick succession in a single fight.

3. Valir

One of the most broken heroes in the game right now, and possibly the best tank-buster in the game thanks to his spammable Burst Fireball and adjusted passives. While Ashing's damage is insignificant on paper, in reality, it can quickly build up and turn the enemy frontline to a crisp in a matter of seconds if left unchecked. Furthermore, every cooldown reduction stat he gets increases the chance of Ashing exploding, thus dealing even more damage while stunning the target.

While Valir don't have any dash or sudden movement-type abilities, he can easily shrug off assassins who want to pounce on him using his second skill. He can also remove any of his debuffs using his ultimate, making him even harder to catch. Furthermore, he has one of the quickest lane clear speeds in midlane against any other mage, because of the amount of area damage he inflicts using both of his basic abilities.

4. Kimmy

The revamped Kimmy pushed her straight into top heroes to play right now because of her sudden burst of damage, engage potential, and escape abilities. In the right hands, her damage will significantly increase due to her Passives. Equipped with two or more piece of gear, she can easiliy snowball and solo the enemy backline with her skill combos.

She is also one of the best teamfight-centric hero in the game right now, and can be played in either Gold Lane or Mid Lane. Her flexibility, importance in teamfight, and tough-to-engage nature make her one of the best heroes in the game right now, and continues the excellent trend of revamps that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang now has going.

5. Floryn

Floryn stays under the radar for too long, and is rarely looked at by Mythic players or below. We still don't know why a hero as dangerous as her doesn't get banned enough. She is one of the most broken heroes in the game currently, and can single-handedly win the game if played right. It isn't hard to play her the right way, either. The only thing players had to do is share the lantern with their jungler and use her ultimate; that's it.

Floryn can repeatedly heal a hero while simultaneously stunning her opponents. She can also remove any Healing Reduction or Shield Reduction that all heroes have in her team, and make them immune to it for two seconds. She undoubtedly is bad when paired with no-engage heroes, but considering every jungle in the meta can engage or at least dive the backline, her presence is crucial for the team.

Alternative heroes to play

Besides the five stated above, we currently have three more heroes to pick in the meta. They are still strong in the meta currently, but with less reliability than the five heroes presented earlier. The three heroes in question are Lukas, Badang, and Natan. These three are in a good spot in the current meta due to their kit and recent buff from Patch 1.9.68.

Depending on the team's needs, Lukas can be played either in the EXP Lane or the Jungle. He is a great backline catcher who can also be played as a utility jungler, thanks to his high base damage and crowd control potential. In EXP Lane, his job was to soak every pressure from the enemy jungler and maximise his escape tool to survive a gank. He is also excellent at playing from behind due to his utility, especially in team fights.

If Lukas was a hybrid of utility and fighter with stability, Badang offers more utility in exchange for higher risk. His Fist Break can make or break his playstyle, as it relies on the player to use it correctly in certain situations. Primarily used offensively, sometimes, Fist Break can also be Badang's only way of escape. This is why he can be played as a Roamer and EXP Lane. When played as a Roamer, he can sacrifice his life for the greater good.

The last one is Natan. Primarily played in the Gold Lane, Natan brings magic damage if the team needs it. He was recently buffed so he can spam his skills without sacrificing his basic attack's damage. He can also be played in the Jungle area if needed, as his basic attack can clear the camp quickly.

These are some recommendations for Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.68. While they won't guarantee a win, these heroes can help you climb the rank to Mythic or higher, as they are currently the best heroes in the meta.
