More Restrictions to the Ranking System!
▪ Elo Inflation: The update tackles Elo inflation by removing Floor Protection for Mythic and higher ranks, meaning players can be demoted to Diamond if they lose too much. Elo gain has been increased, but it is more challenging in Legendary and above.
▪ Rank Boost: Rank Boost values have been reduced dramatically, and it is only available up to Mythic.
▪ Team Restrictions: Trio and Duo team-ups are more restrictive as players increase in Rank. Players can’t team up with friends if their Rank is too low compared to their own.
▪ Rank Reset: Rank reset will no longer put everyone in Bronze I every month. For players Diamond 1 and above, the reset is always -6 minor ranks from their ending rank. If a player is Gold 3 and below, they will be reset to Silver I.
New Changes on Matchmaking!
▪ Faster queue times at lower Ranks! Stricter matchmaking at higher Ranks!
▪ The Elo search range will no longer extend beyond rank restrictions.
▪ New rank reset rule: Puts you to a new level of 6 minor ranks lower (Bronze I)
▪ Players in Mythic and above will need 12 Power Level 11 Brawlers to play.
No More Modifiers!
Modifiers have been removed because they were too complex for casual players and restricted the viable Brawlers meta. The developers plan to introduce new ways to keep Ranked Seasons fresh.
Gadgets Have No Time Limits!
Gadgets can now be used unlimited times but with a cooldown, with each Gadget having its own cooldown based on its strength, ranging from 7 to 30 seconds.
Other Improvements
▪ The ranked emblem is now always shown in Ranked.
▪ Players can now 'Heart' Brawlers to favorite them.
▪ Favorite Brawlers will be filtered to the front during the Ranked Pick phase.
▪ Red and Blue side spawn viewing distance fixed to match.
